Project Inside Out
Connecting inner readiness with outward action.
We turn Performance Wellness into things people can actually use — programs, conversations, tools and partnerships — for people facing pressure, transition or opportunity.
The definition
Project Inside Out connects inner readiness with outward action. It works by turning Performance Wellness principles into things people can actually use — programs, conversations, tools, and partnerships — for people facing pressure, transition, or opportunity.

Why "inside out"
People are asked to perform outwardly before they have been helped to prepare inwardly.
Young athletes are told to compete. Students are told to succeed. Parents are told to let go. Leaders are told to stay composed. Communities are told to become resilient.
Project Inside Out asks what must exist inside the person, relationship, team or organisation before those expectations can be met responsibly — and then builds the practical thing that helps.
What kind of organisation this is
Project Inside Out is a Performance Wellness platform designed to create public and community benefit through independently useful contributions.
It can work with individuals, businesses, nonprofits, institutions, sponsors, and community organizations. Participation may be charitable, commercial, in-kind, volunteer-based, or a combination.
The inside
Identity. Beliefs. Emotional state. Mental preparation. Self-awareness. Values. Purpose. Internal language. Readiness.
The outside
Performance. Decisions. Relationships. Work. Leadership. Competition. Education. Partnerships. Community contribution. Measurable action.
The governing discipline
Wellness is not an alternative to high performance. It is part of the preparation required to sustain it.
Performance Wellness is the ability to prepare, regulate, perform, recover, adapt and continue growing without losing health, identity, perspective or meaningful connection.
It is not only about performing better. It is about remaining well while performing, transitioning, leading, adapting and recovering. Everything else on this site is that discipline made usable somewhere specific.

Preparation
Preparation does not guarantee success. It widens the choices available when pressure arrives.
Regulation
The objective is not to remove emotion. It is to stop emotion becoming the only authority.
Recovery
Part of performance, not an escape from it. A system with no recovery eventually weakens whoever it depends on.
How the work becomes usable
Three routes in, depending on whether you are applying the discipline, moving through a transition, or looking for a way to contribute.
Where it is happening
Each initiative is a distinct environment with its own participants and its own evidence. More will be added as the work continues.
The capabilities that support the work
Four different kinds of thing — a capability category, a layer inside STAI, an authored method, and an orchestration system. Read them when you want to know how something actually operates.
About Founder
It began with a father packing a car.
Project Inside Out did not start as a campaign, a platform or a business model.
Adrian TRUFiT McKenzie’s daughter was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania. Between the acceptance letter and the first morning of orientation sat a distance nobody had named — the gap between being admitted to a place and being ready to live in it.
It was not the first time the same shape appeared. A near-drowning in a first triathlon. A son’s diagnosis. A business that failed on operations rather than vision. Three compounding losses in four months. Each time: pressure exposed a gap, he rebuilt, and the lesson became something useful for someone else.
